Have You Seen Nazi Jesus?

If you were tuned into the American Heroes Channel, AHC, you probably caught the program titled “The Nazi Jesus” that aired at 9:00 pm EST. The program covers the impossible position of Pope Pius XII (born Eugenio Maria Giuseppe Giovanni Pacelli) in having to choose sides between right and wrong against the German Fuhrer, Adolf Hitler.

The program on AHC is a riveting and contemplative one that forces us to view Pope Pius XII’s side of history that noted him as not openly speaking out against Hitler and defending humanity. However, under the cover of anonymity, Pope Pius XII did play a hand in the safe transport of Jewish people that ultimately saw him save twenty-five percent of the world’s Jewish population.

If you haven’t seen it, you need to. It discusses the role of Catholics in Nazi Germany that profiled Catholic Franciscan monks that oversaw death camps in German-occupied lands. Because of the involvement of Catholic clergy in the murders of concentration camp captives, the world required a response from Pope Pius, one he was not willing to give openly. With the Nazi army at his doorstep, Pope Pius was forced to contemplate the idea that he would be kidnapped by Hitler’s forces, but not before writing his resignation and placing it in his desk, so that if he were kidnapped, Hitler would have Eugenio Maria Giuseppe Giovanni Pacelli, not Pope Pius XII, representative of God on Earth and leader of the Catholic Faith.

It’s a must-see program that may be available On Demand in your area on the AHC Network.

  1. For those who vehemently point the finger at Pope Pius for “allowing” what happen to the Jew’s during WWII? I say only this. It is the WORLD that allowed this vile, inhumane act. It is France, Britain, America that stood by and LET Hitler build a military, by which I might add. Was against the Versailles Treaty from WW1. The world stood by as well as Hitler invaded Austria,Czechoslovakia. Only after Poland did Europe (France and GB) act. So who was it that REALLY let this happen?? All the Allies knew this was happening. So to place blame on a Pope for not doing something about it, is hardly fair. Some say he could have protested against it. What? Would the World come to his Aid??? Hardly. It’s obvious by their lack of action before, during, and after Hitler made his moves, that the “World” could not be relied on for help. And they KNEW this was happening.let’s place blame where it BELONGS. What do you think Hitler would have done to Catholics AND Pope Pius, if Pius would have stood against him?? The same thing that ANYONE who stood against Hitler. A death. Not to mention Catholics would be put in Concentration camps. The very idea of putting blame on the Catholic Church is a sincere and Preposterous idea!

    1. Exactly. And if we aren’t careful, it will happen again. History has a very strange way of repeating itself, unfortunately.
